G&H was founded in 1947 as a small dry van carrier providing freight service for South-central Iowa. G&H growth led to the establishment of a central United States van and reefer carrier.

On May 1, 2003, G&H was purchased by Brown NationaLease, who expanded and enhanced the operation to one of the largest carriers in the state of Iowa.

G&H primarily operates in the central United States bordering from North Dakota to Texas and Ohio to Georgia.  Customers rely on G&H for safe, on time delivery of their product at a fair market price.
